The Commercial Account Manager in our Livonia, MI (a suburb of Detroit) office serves as the main point of contact for our Commercial Original Equipment (OE) customers regarding products, orders, pricing, planning, and other customer requests. Additionally, the Commercial Account Manager will serve as a liaison between Original Equipment (OE) customers and internal Hankook departments including sales, supply chain, customer services, manufacturing, quality, etc.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for the specialized development of new business and long-term growth with Commercial OEM accounts
- Serve as an expert and first point of contact to customer for all commercial topics
- Receive and analyze Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents and exchange rates
- Deliver requirements to Hankook OE Sales team on new programs
- Ensure orders and schedules are met for pre-production and prototype builds
- Present Hankook technology and capabilities to customer purchasing, product planning, plant program managers, and engineering teams
- Manage development schedules together with technical account managers and OE sales team
- Set up and maintain contracts and arrangements with warehouses and wheel assembly companies
- Manage quality issues with related teams
- Weekly/monthly reporting

- Coordinate visits for customer to tour Hankook plant and warehouses
- Analyze car and tire mark to OE maker’s new vehicles and technology
- Any other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management

- Proficient in: Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in OEM & Aftermarket sales on a National Basis, Presentation Skills, Client Relationships, Contract Negotiation, Emphasizing Operational Excellence, High Energy Level, Prospecting Skills, Meeting Sales Goals, Creativity, Sales Planning, Independence, and Motivation for Sales.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred in business or engineering related discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in automotive sales required. Tire experience a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel one to two times per month
