Test Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Test Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing tests on various products and systems to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of test automation, debugging, and quality assurance processes. The Test Technician will work closely with engineers and other team members to analyze results and contribute to the overall success of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough testing of products and systems to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Operate internal test machines necessary for test support
• Perform tire and tire assembly measurements using company test equipment and facilities
• Support all functions of tire testing, including mounting and balancing of tire assemblies, vehicle preparation, shipping of tires and equipment as necessary
• Generate test notes/logs and test reports on various Computer Applications
• Maintain assigned lab equipment and facilities, including associated measurement system calibrations
• Perform other various technical and non-technical support functions as directed by the lab supervisor
• Maintain safe work habits and participate in safety training and committees as required
• Work closely with members in the laboratory and office areas in accomplishing all necessary assignments.
• Other duties as assigned

Experience

• Proficiency with MS/Office or similar document tools: spreadsheets, word processor, presentation slides and the Ability to learn multiple computer applications for instructions, monitoring and reporting results for all aspects of job responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, with vocational education; or college associates technical degree; or equivalent
• Understanding of fundamentals of testing; recording & reporting data, and supporting technical activities
• Basic knowledge of measurement instrumentation, computers, and data acquisition systems
• Communication -- ability to:
• read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
• write routing reports and correspondence;
• speak effectively before groups of customers or peer employees
• Mathematics: ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
• Physical demands: must be able to lift to 50-lbs and use common hand and power tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
