BEER TAP HANDLE PRODUCT DESIGNER / ILLUSTRATOR/ DIGITAL MARKETING

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Are you a talented product designer/illustrator who also has an interest in digital marketing and are looking for an opportunity to utilize both? Are you looking for a position that will allow you a large degree of creative freedom and to be part of an art department where you’ll work on a wide array of creative projects for some of the largest beer and beverage brands in the world?

Do you have a passion for beer and the fun and unique branding that the craft beer industry is known for? Here at Hankscraft/AJS we are looking for a designer who is a strong self-starter who will be able to take a brewery or beverage company’s branding and create beautiful tap handles and other point of purchase items that speak to their customer and communicate their unique voice. You would also work closely with our Art Director to create digital marketing collateral utilizing email, social media, and traditional media channels to expand our brand awareness in the market.

JOB DUTIES:

As a designer at Hankscraft/AJS you will be part of a design team creating concepts for tap handles and other point of purchase items, responsibilities include:

· Working with our sales and project management team to create designs/concepts for client approval and to ensure timelines and deadlines are met.

· Researching each new company to ensure all designs fit their branding.

· Utilizing Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop to create beautiful renderings for client review and approval.

· Working within the Wix online platform to create marketing emails and edit/update website pages and templates.

· Creating production files for final manufacturing upon client approval, including decal files, pad print films, and construction drawings as well as any other required files for creating the final product. (training for creation of these files will be provided)

· Working with the Art Director and other team members to ensure designs are up to company standards and that assistance and direction is given as needed.

· Assist in creating designs and content for magazine ads, brochures, social media, and other marketing materials as assigned by the Art Director or other company managers.

· Willingness and motivation to utilize down-time between projects to scout out new marketing opportunities, research potential clients for prospecting, and expand your design skills/knowledge.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· Strong product design, illustration, graphic design and 3D conceptualization skills required. This position will require a well-rounded and multi-talented individual who can design, sketch and digitally render.

· A Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Product Design, Illustration, or Graphic Design is strongly preferred, but any education level will be considered based on the submission and review of a portfolio.

· Strong communication skills are a requirement. The ability to clearly communicate with all members of the team and to accept and incorporate criticism and revisions from clients is a must.

· A mastery of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CC as well as the ability to sketch and ideate quickly are preferred. You will also be provided with a Wacom One screen tablet for digital art creation, ability to utilize any 3D program of your choice is also a plus.

· Self-motivation and the ability to work quickly with minimal oversight. Possess attention to detail, work efficiently and hit deadlines.

· A familiarity with printing and pre-press processes is a plus but not required.

· A willingness to learn new skills and processes as needed.
