Job Description:  Disaster Relief Catering:  


Location:  Varies on Contract, within the United States


Positions:  

Food Service Workers, Cashiers, Janitors, Warehouse, Cooks, Dishwashers, Shift Supervisors, Operations Manager, Project Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, HR Representative & Administrative Personnel


It is our mission to help support and serve our military.   We will be serving breakfast, lunch, & dinner seven days a week.  We have openings for individuals who are passionate about helping others, have a great attitude, solid work ethic, and want to make a difference.  Hours will be from either 4am to 2pm or from 11am to 9pm, times subject to change.  You will be working between 8 to 12 hours per day.

Job Summary:


Works directly for the Chef, in order to assist in all catering activities, assisting in preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring safety and sanitation.  Provides meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes.  You will be supporting by Serving, Cleaning, Prepping, and any other requests necessary in order to execute WOW service to our Military.

Essential Job Functions:


? To plan, inspect and execute a well thought out plan to ensure smooth service. Working tirelessly to maintain quality in food, sanitation, safety in work environment.

? Actively promote and exhibit enthusiasm in the work place.  

? Be a spokesperson for what we do.

? Organizes stock and ingredients to ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance.

? Keeps stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours.

? Adheres to all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality, sanitary cooking conditions, and only accepts the appropriate way to safe food handling.

? Works with kitchen and service team to maintain organization, and service, and feedback on any training opportunities are always well received.

? Demonstrate Continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless team-oriented guest service.

? Provides “WOW” guest service & “WOW” food quality to our clients.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Knowledge of:


1. Proficiency in food preparation, and service.  Proper service temperatures and holding temperatures of all prepared foods, and knowledge of different cooking methods.  It is your responsibility to make sure that our internal and external guests are happy with each meal period.  If an issue comes up, it is also your responsibility to fix the issue or opportunity and get a Chef or supervisor involved. 


Skills & Qualifications:


2. Formal Culinary Training, previous High volume Catering experience, and restaurant experience preferred.  Extensive food and beverage knowledge, Restaurant Industry knowledge, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, knowledge of restaurant regulations, leadership, management, positivity, ability to work under pressure, self-motivated, creative problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional customer-service skills.

3. Ability to multi-task and remain unflappable, meet timelines, maintain professional appearance and attitude, work varied hours/days, take initiative, be self-motivated and perform at an independent, accountable, and dependable level.  Ability to communicate in person in a one-to-one setting, work closely within a team environment to ensure the smooth running of the food and beverage operation.  Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a day to day basis.

Additional Requirements:


4. Minimum of 2 years in a high volume production; multi-outlets, and or restaurant industry, with an eye for quality and looking for an individual who is driven with a passion for excellence. 


5. Able to expedite service and stay organized in a high volume multi-faceted operation, which includes catering and a busy restaurant, highly focused on quality and sense of urgency, working knowledge of mathematics for recipes, ordering.  


6. Able to delegate responsibility, pay attention to detail, handle multiple tasks and show a high level of patience.


7. Must possess excellent organizational and administrative skills, interpersonal skills and leadership skills.  


8. Approachable, open-minded and fair.


9. Flexible work hours to meet the demands of the operation.


10. High energy.


11. Serve-safe Manager or Food Handler Certified a plus.
