What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Engineer - HVAC and Systems position at Hanon Systems?
Test components and sub-systems for Automotive Climate Comfort and Thermal Management Systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical and/or electrical tests on product components or series of components
- Design and develop specialized measurements, special-purpose instrumentation, and/or shop or laboratory test equipment
- Execute pre-establish test protocols
- Work with test and design engineers to develop new tests
- Provide on-time information to replenish test consumables
- Keeps records on work performed, analyzes data collected, and reports results
- Keep test logs up to date
- Maintains good housekeeping, safety practices and supplies
- Assist maintenance in equipment troubleshooting
- Verify calibration of tools and equipment used
Years of Experience:
- 3-5 years experience with automotive HVAC systems or test experience preferred
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred
Desired Competencies, Experience, & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical concepts
- Understanding Automotive Validation Requirements preferred
- Ability to work well with others, exhibiting teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask by handling diverse assignments concurrently
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Some instrumentation knowledge (Thermocouple/ Pressure transducers)
- General computer knowledge (MS Office)
- Basic data acquisition knowledge to be able to program test parameters, use data buckets to collect information.
