POSITION TITLE: Service Lane Manager
DEPARTMENT: Service
REPORTS TO: Service Manager
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Service Lane Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our service department. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service lane, managing a team of service advisors, and providing exceptional customer service to our valued clients. Manage and supervise a team of service advisors, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
· Monitor and maintain the flow of vehicles in the service lane, ensuring efficient and timely service
· Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
· Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and customer satisfaction
· Ensure all service requests are properly documented and processed
· Monitor and evaluate the performance of service advisors, providing constructive feedback and implementing corrective actions when necessary
· Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance the overall customer experience
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, products, and services
· Review repair orders once a week for proper capture of customer information and signatures
· Ensure service advisors are engaging the customer and seeking opportunities on the drive.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry
· Strong leadership and management skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Detail-oriented and highly organized
· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
· Proficient computer skills and knowledge of automotive service software
· Valid driver's license
