Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Safety Manager to oversee and enforce safety protocols across our residential construction projects. The Safety Manager will be responsible the continued development, implementation and monitoring of our health and safety programs to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction site safety, strong leadership skills, and a passion for fostering a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Provide safety training and education to employees and subcontractors.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain and update safety documentation, including reports, training records, and compliance logs.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to ensure job sites are safe and compliant.
- Monitor and enforce personal protective equipment (PPE) use.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to continuously improve safety protocols.
- Serve as the point of contact for all safety-related matters.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in high-end residential construction.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations.
- Certification in OSHA 30-Hour, CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and present safety topics effectively.
- Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Aspen’s construction regulations and environmental considerations is a plus.
