General Job Description:
The Maintenance Electrician will execute maintenance tasks, which require an in-depth technical knowledge of Electrical equipment. The technician will troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical aspects of machinery, and implement improvements as necessary. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within our facility, ensuring that all equipment and systems operate efficiently and safely. You will play a crucial role in minimizing downtime by troubleshooting electrical issues and performing preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and equipment across the facility.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems in machinery and systems, using testing equipment and technical manuals.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems and components to ensure uninterrupted operation.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Work with the maintenance team to provide electrical support for other system repairs (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with appropriate safety policies and procedures.
- Must be able to perform all maintenance activities related to his/her assigned action area, including planned tasks regarding predictive and preventive maintenance.
- Apply problem solving skills to reduce the consequences of failure.
- Take initiative and participate actively in problem analysis, identification of root causes and suitable permanent solutions.
- Create improvement proposals and execute tasks resulting from improvement proposals.
- Complete administrative tasks using the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Support operators by providing training.
- Responsible for applying her/his maintenance experience and competence.
- Responsible for responding to and resolving maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
- Actively troubleshoot maintenance issues and tasks to ensure proper and timely resolution.
- Continuously works to protect and enhance Hanwha’s reputation.
- Carries out all duties and responsibilities with the utmost integrity and consistent with the highest ethical standards. Good communication skills and positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to appropriately conduct maintenance in a high stress manufacturing environment.

Required Education and Experience:
- Work with the maintenance team to provide electrical support for other system repairs (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in electrical technology or a related field preferred.
- Certification: Valid electrician’s license is required.
- 3-5 years of experience as an electrician, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems in a maintenance setting.
- Proven experience and technical knowledge in highly automated manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
- 2 years of experience and technical knowledge in the areas of electrical maintenance of equipment, OR military experience in a technical field, or an associate degree in: Industrial Maintenance Technology (IMT), Mechatronics, Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I), Electro-Mechanical, Automated Manufacturing technology (AMT), or Electrical Engineering Technology (EET). (JW)Journeyman Wireman, (JL) Journeyman Lineman, (JE) Journeyman Electrician.
- Experience with 480-volt 3 phase wiring/120-volt single phase wiring/277-volt lighting/24-volt DC control wiring.
- Must be able to use analog and digital multimeters.
- Motor testing and diagnosis
- Provide Electrical support for installation of new machinery
- Proficient in both electrical and mechanical knowledge and skill set.
- Basic hand / power tool familiarity
- Preferred experience in a production environment.
- The ability to read and interpret manufacturing specifications or work instructions.
- Knowledge of and experience in industrial electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics in a manufacturing environment required
- Experience changing out bearing and motors preferred
- Basic computer skills required (i.e. Microsoft Office, email), including knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (i.e. SAP, Emaint, or Maximo)
- Pumping system maintenance experience preferred
- Conveyor system maintenance experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail.
- Availability to work any shift (weekends, holidays, and overtime).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to Operate a Forklift.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job such as lifting and moving up to 50lbs., standing for 8-12 hours per day, bending, squatting, or kneeling, climb stairs or ladders.
