JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Summary:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Associate to join Hanwha Shipping. The IT Associate will provide essential support for maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure, assisting users with technical issues, and implementing technology solutions to meet organizational needs. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation and a passion for problem-solving and continuous learning.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including computers, printers, servers, and mobile devices.
- Monitor and maintain system and network performance, troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and IT security protocols, including password resets and access control.
- Support IT team projects, such as system upgrades, software deployments, and infrastructure improvements.
- Ensure the organization’s data security by implementing and maintaining antivirus solutions, firewalls, and backup systems.
- Document technical procedures, solutions, and best practices to improve team efficiency and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide IT support for events, projects, and organizational needs.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve IT operations.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and policies.
QUALIFICATIONSBasic Qualifications and Skills:- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in an IT support or related technical role.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Familiarity with network concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals, or similar.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices for IT service management.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and protocols.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
