Position Summary:
The Production Manager will oversee the technical production and operational management of Happier’s diverse venue portfolio. This role demands a highly organized, technically skilled individual capable of managing complex logistics of multiple concurrent events across different venues and advancing shows to meet the high expectations of our clients and guests. The successful candidate will innovate operational practices to maximize efficiency, profitability, and enhance the quality of all events.

Scope of Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the event sales and technical operations team to fulfill all technical aspects of event planning and execution, including sound, lighting and video requirements- Manage technical operations, production staffing, and equipment maintenance across all venues
- Oversee all technical aspects of entertainment programming and production, ensuring alignment with client expectations
- Advance shows by collecting detailed event requirements ahead of time, building production schedules, coordinating in-house equipment inventory, and arranging subrentals as necessary
- Handle budget responsibilities for various revenue streams including event sales and equipment rentals
- Provide on-site guidance and supervision to technical staff throughout setup, operation and strike of audio, video and lighting production equipment
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and building code regulations through event production
- Coordinate with various facilities departments and fire alarm systems to enable the safe and effective use of atmospheric effects
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven expertise in live event technical production including logistics, scheduling, and on-site management- Advanced proficiency in the operation of audio, video, and lighting equipment, familiar with Dante, Shure Wireless Equipment, D&B Audiotechnik (R1 and ArrayCalc), L’Acoustics systems (Soundvision, LA Network Manager) GrandMA Lighting Systems, Resolume Video software, Yamaha, Midas, and Allen & Heath, DigiCo and Avid audio consoles, DMX and ArtNet protocols.
- Keen understanding of electrical systems, including production power requirements for AVL equipment, three phase power distribution, and facilities infrastructure limitations
- Experience with staging design, rigging, and overall production design
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical and support staff
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in venue production management or festival / touring experience in a management role
- Willingness to apply live production experience in a client oriented, hospitality focused environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; significant experience in production management may substitute

The base pay range for this position is a salary range of $90,000 - $100,000 per year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
