The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mortgage lending and a passion for helping clients achieve their home financing goals. You will be responsible for guiding clients through the loan application process, providing personalized service, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Client Consultation: Meet with clients to discuss their financial needs and assist them in selecting the appropriate mortgage products.
• Loan Origination: Process loan applications by collecting required documentation, analyzing credit profiles, and determining loan eligibility.
• Financial Analysis: Review borrower credit reports, income, debts, and other financial information to assess risk and loan feasibility.
• Communication: Maintain open communication with clients throughout the loan process and provide timely updates on the status of their applications.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations pertaining to the mortgage industry, as well as company policies.
• Networking: Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources to generate business leads.
• Market Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, mortgage products, and regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
• Qualifications: Valid Loan Officer License in Illinois.
• Proven experience as a Loan Officer or similar role in the mortgage industry.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and loan processing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Proficient in mortgage software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple loan applications simultaneously.
