Job Overview:
We are seeking a responsible, kind, take charge, loving and energetic Assistant Daycare Teacher to join our team. As an assistant Day Care Teacher, you will be an important part of our team and responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. Your role will be assisting the lead teacher implement age-appropriate activities, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the well-being of each child in your care. After circle time has ended you will cook and serve meals and snacks, taking turns with the lead teacher.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and implementing engaging lesson plans
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Monitor and supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities
- Collaborate with parents to ensure open communication and address any concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the daycare facility
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
-Cook Meals following the food program guidelines. Keeping the kitchen clean and sanitary
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. CDA preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare, classroom, or similar setting. Preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices.
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
HappyTown Day Care is a Tier II Licensed Home Day Care that opened in 1996. We are licensed for 16 children. We are a Christian Home Day Care, and we share bible stories and our love of the Lord with the children daily.
As a small in home day care we only have 3 employees. It is my goal that the three of us work together as a unit. I want my employees to enjoy coming to work and when asked if they like their job to be able to genuinely say yes.
