What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Technician position at Harba Solutions Inc.?
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate laboratory instruments such as pipettes, automated liquid handling systems, spectrophotometers, and centrifuges with minimal supervision.
- Handle, process, and preserve biological samples according to established protocols and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of all lab activities, ensuring proper documentation and promptly reporting any discrepancies or deviations to management.
- Log incoming samples for laboratory analysis and keep thorough and organized records.
- Prepare and aliquot samples for a variety of tests and experiments.
- Perform procedures for DNA/RNA extraction, quantification, and PBMC isolation.
- Carry out whole blood fractionation and other specialized tasks based on client requirements.
- Adhere to safety standards and ensure all lab work is conducted according to safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of lab supplies, initiate reorders, and track usage.
- Contribute to routine lab maintenance, including cleaning equipment and disposing of biological waste correctly.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to laboratory equipment or processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or Associate’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant laboratory experience
- High School Diploma with 3 years of applicable experience.
- Previous experience in a regulated laboratory environment is a plus.
- Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively with a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in work.
Salary : $23 - $27
