What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Harba Solutions?
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement plans for assigned product and service categories, ensuring alignment with the overall procurement strategy.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to expand sourcing options, improve cost-efficiency, and ensure supply chain resilience.
- Lead supplier selection processes, conduct due diligence, and assess supplier capabilities through benchmarking and market research.
- Negotiate and execute supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Manage procurement processes, including requests for quotations (RFQs), bid evaluations, and purchase order execution within spending limits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Quality, R&D, Operations) to define product specifications, establish supplier expectations, and enhance procurement effectiveness.
- Monitor supplier performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent quality and reliability.
- Establish and maintain supplier relationship management programs, fostering long-term partnerships and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct risk assessments related to supplier performance, contractual obligations, and market fluctuations to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and cost drivers to inform strategic sourcing decisions.
- Provide budget proposals, manage procurement budgets effectively, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Train and support internal stakeholders on procurement processes, contract terms, and supplier management best practices.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supplier management.
- Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Must have experience in contraction negotiations
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong experience in supplier identification, qualification, and contract negotiation.
- Proven track record in budget management, cost control, and value-driven procurement.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract law, and compliance regulations.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
