Description
General Function: It is the responsibility of each employee of the Company to understand and promote the Company Mission Statement and Statement of Values while adhering to the Company Code of Conduct. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee daily main office operations, including scheduling meetings and events, office supply management and providing assistance to company leadership and staff.
Experience: Minimum of one year of clerical, accounting or business management experience is preferred.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: The ability to represent the Company in a friendly and helpful manner, good math and reading skills, as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, or similar programming, are required.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily Job Duties
- Assisting all who enter the main office.
- Handling telephone inquiries.
- Oversee daily office operations, including facilities management, scheduling, supply management, incoming/outgoing mail and packages, and vendor relations.
- Help identify inefficiencies and work to implement solutions to streamline office workflows and procedures.
- Act as a central point for internal communications to assist with effective team collaboration on projects.
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures and training.
- Monitor and report on office expenses, supply inventory and administrative budgets.
- Other Duties.
- Assist with Accounting (receivables and payables), HR and Marketing departments as needed.
- Work with other locations to coordinate activities and events at the main office.
- While this position is primarily based at the Corporate Office, travel to other company locations and events may be required.
- Safety.
- Complying with Company safety policy.
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
- Reporting all safety concerns to their supervisor or the Safety Director immediately.
- General – As Harbin Lumber Company, Inc. is a group of locations, each working individually and as a team, the Office Manager must be a team player and must develop positive working relationships with all Company employees.
Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 50 pounds will be required on an occasional basis.
Working Conditions: The work is primarily inside in a good work environment.
