Summary
For the Manager, Production, the safety and health of employees takes precedence over any other duties of this position. The Manger, Production is responsible for directing and coordinating the daily production functions of plant operations. This includes planning production schedules, identifying productivity goals and monitoring processes to ensure efficiency in the manufacturing process to achieve department goals.

Responsibilities
- Determining equipment, material and manpower requirements to meet production needs
- Coordinating with Supply Chain department to monitor production activities and adjust schedules for on-time delivery to meet customers’ needs
- Ensuring machines and staff meet daily goals for safety, quality and production; Driving the optimization of production throughput/outputs and product quality;
- Evaluating and directing staff to better improve performance; fostering a culture of continuous improvement and actively championing improvement projects using lean tools
- Reporting out on key performance indicators (KPIs) and adhering to and driving the HBS system to implement actions which will continuously improve them, (OEE, Productivity, Quality, Adherence to Plan) delivering targeted costs and propose plan to optimize costs
- Assuring finished goods meet customer specifications by identifying and recording product non-conformities and recommending and initiating action plans to prevent reoccurrence
- Requires B.S. Degree in Business, Logistics or related fields
- Requires six (6) – eight (8) years of supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing operation.
- Requires computer operation skills including, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CAD and Oracle ERP
- Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Requires experience in working towards Lean production
- Requires knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standards Quality Management Systems
- Requires knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing and LEAN Management principles
- Physical Activity: Requires more than 2/3 of time talking and hearing; 1/3 to 2/3 of time standing, walking, sitting and reaching with arms and hands; and less than 1/3 of time using hands/fingers to handle and/or feel, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
- Lifting: Requires lifting up to 50 pounds less than 1/3 of time.
- Vision: Requires accurate close, distant, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
- Environment: Requires 1/3 to 2/3 of time working in wet or humid conditions and working near moving mechanical parts; and less than 1/3 of time working in an office setting with very limited exposure, exposed to outdoor weather conditions, exposed to fumes or airborne particles, exposed to vibration and risk of electrical shock.
- Noise: Requires exposure to loud noise.
