About the Role
We are seeking a QA Lead to establish and execute testing processes that ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have strong technical testing skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering and product teams. This role is 100% on-site at our corporate Headquarters in New York City.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement test strategies and test plans for key projects
- Create comprehensive test suites for our web application
- Build and maintain automation frameworks using our testing stack
- Collaborate with development and product teams on quality requirements
- Drive implementation of testing best practices across the organization
- Identify risks and quality issues early in the development process
- Participate in sprint planning and provide testing estimates
- Report on quality metrics and testing coverage to stakeholders
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of QA experience in web application testing
- Experience with our testing stack: PyTest, Jest, Selenium, and Cypress
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript
- Experience with React frontend testing strategies
- Knowledge of testing RESTful APIs built with Flask
- Experience with database testing across SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Neo4j)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Nice to Have
- ISTQB or other QA certifications
- Experience with performance and security testing
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
