Assistant Controller
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks, including support services for the CEO and CFO. This is a mid-level accounting position with great upward mobility and growth opportunities in an expanding company and industry.

Must have knowledge of state rules and regulations, excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accountancy required. Experience with payroll, general ledger, journal entries, bank reconciliations and spreadsheet analysis also required. An understanding of financial statements; Income statement and balance sheet preferred. Not-for-profit accounting experience is a plus for the successful candidate.

Job Duties
- Assist CEO and CFO with administrative and accounting duties, as assigned
- Confidentiality is mandatory with employee and client information.
- Assist CFO in month end close and report preparation. Provide backup to CFO for all responsibilities.
- Assist CEO in developing proposals and presentations, including Excel and PowerPoint. Assist CEO in annual budget preparation.
- Perform administrative support tasks, including updating and sorting files, conducting research, completing reports, etc.
- Monitor and manage inventory of office supplies; order and distribute supplies as needed
- Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain databases as needed
- Take initiative to address any problems or unfinished work that may exist
- Maintains quality results by following organizational standards
- Assist with duties necessary for a smooth operation at Headquarters – work with leadership/management staff as needed
- Other duties as assigned
