Harbor is seeking a full-time LGBTQ Prevention and Wellness Coordinator! The LGBTQ Prevention and Wellness Coordinator will design, implement, and oversee culturally responsive prevention and wellness programs aimed at improving the mental health and reducing substance use among LGBTQ individuals, ages 18-26.
Position is full-time.
Education / Experience / Other Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, counseling, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in prevention programming, behavioral health, or community health with LGBTQ populations.
- Lived experience as an LGBTQ individual and / or deep cultural competency in LGBTQ issues is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of LGBTQ mental health, substance use prevention, and social determinants of health.
- Training or familiarity with evidence-based interventions such as AFFIRM Adult and SBIRT.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and group facilitation skills.
- Ability to create trauma-informed and inclusive environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
- Experience in data collection and program evaluation preferred.
- Credentialed or eligible for prevention certification through the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
- Motivational Interviewing certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
- Passion for supporting the LGBTQ community.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while independently managing responsibilities.
