Job Title: Chef
The Chef’s responsibility on shift is to provide the residents with the utmost care in a residential setting through preparing and serving residents with three (3) meals daily while allowing the residents to have input on menu item ideas and choices when menu planning Additionally, maintaining state regulation guidelines for the kitchen on a daily basis to ensure proper and safe food preparation.
Responsibilities
Take and obtain Servsafe Certification per Food Safety State Regulation- Staff will be put through the course at no cost to employees.
Responsible for all Meal Preparation- following state regulations for proper food handling and sanitation guidelines
- Follow Daily menu w/ preselected alternative options per resident requests
- Makes Breakfast @8a, Lunch @12p, and Dinner @5p
Prepare snacks for 24/7 residents access
Serves Breakfast and Lunch
Ensuring to be aware of all resident allergies and doctor ordered diets for each and every resident
Prepares weekly menus
Places food orders weekly and submits by Sunday @2p
Receives and puts away Food Delivery on Mondays
Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen/ Notifying supervisor to anything noticed needing repair
Developing a positive rapport with all the residents
Monthly Mandatory Staff Meeting w/ Monthly In-Service Training
Every month @ 2p all staff are required to attend the Staff Meeting in the conference room @ HarborSide Care Home
Every meeting will have an In-Service Training as State Regulated for continuing education pertaining to Residential Care Facility Staff.
Candidate Requirements
ServSafe Certification-Will provide Course for right candidate if not already obtained prior to being hired
Official High School Transcript/ GED/ High School Diploma required.
CPR/First aid certified
