Summary

HarborOne is offering a dynamic and comprehensive learning and development opportunity for a selected intern over a 10-week period. The intern will report to the internship manager and will work closely with a marketing peer mentor to foster their growth and development throughout the internship. Over the course of 10 weeks, the intern will be involved in various district projects related to community reinvestment. These projects will enhance their understanding of the Community Reinvestment Act regulations and reflect HarborOne Bank’s commitment to building vibrant and equitable communities.

Our marketing team is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the HarborOne brand, fostering profitable customer relationships, and designing and delivering unique customer experiences to drive engagement. The team develops and implements community relations initiatives while also offering personal and professional educational and development opportunities through HarborOne U.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in project work over the course of a 10-week period.
  • Bank-wide orientation to introduce you to HarborOne Bank.
  • Gain hands on experience with a dedicated mentor.
  • Build your professional network.
  • Personal and career development via networking and community involvement.
  • Dedicated HarborOne Internship Coordinator for coaching and mentoring.
  • Participate in a community involvement event.

Responsibilities

In addition to project work, the intern will have the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions with marketing team members and key business partners on:

  • Understanding effective communication strategies across both social and traditional channels.
  • Utilizing research and data analytics to drive programming.
  • Engage with marketing business partners to gain an understanding of media planning, advertising, public relations, data analytics, etc.
  • Building successful community engagement programs.
  • Work on key CRA programs that support strategic initiatives throughout the organization (Caring Crew, Donations, CD Lending).
  • Learning the key elements of successful marketing promotion.
  • How to deliver educational programs at HarborOne U.
  • Fundamentals of grant-making and evaluation related to the HarborOne Foundation.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with other interns to share experiences and explore career opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program as either a sophomore or junior.
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing.
  • Strong academic record (3.0 GPA preferred).
  • Interest in non-profit management and community engagement
  • Demonstration of interpersonal skills in a workplace setting
  • Excellent written and communications skills, highly motivated, and enjoys working in a team environment
  • Willing to contribute ideas to positively impact project work
  • Ability to solve problems and analyze data, work independently and show initiative
  • Collaborate with peers and colleagues across all business lines and demonstrate the bank’s core values of Trust, Respect, Accountability, Integrity and Teamwork

Compensation

The base pay for this position is $22.00 Hourly
