What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Tech position at Harborview Satilla?
The primary purpose of the Floor Technician is to perform the day to day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe & comfortable manner. The Floor Technician will be responsible for cleaning carpeted and hard flooring surfaces. Duties include scrubbing, polishing, and waxing floors of all types. Will require some weekends and after-hours work to clean floors when traffic is at a minimum. Will also assist in the cleaning & sanitizing of Resident’s rooms (clean/sanitize bathrooms, floors, beds, walls, ceilings, windows, hallways, recreational areas, dining areas, stairways, elevator, etc…), and trash and biohazard trash pickup as needed. Job will require some heavy lifting at times.
