SUMMARY
Receives, stores, and distributes products by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Job duties may vary based on business needs but may result in generating, handling, and/or inspection of hazardous waste and hazardous waste storage. This can include responding or managing hazardous waste spills and incidents based on the site's emergency action or contingency plan. These duties include preparing and managing hazardous waste records such as manifests, inspection logs, waste determination and other reports.
Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Conveys materials and items from production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Moves materials from transportation vehicles to designated storage areas.
Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
Marks materials with identifying information.
Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.
Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience; and one to three years related experience and/or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
