Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Sleep Study Specialist to join our team at Hardin Medical Center. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will play a crucial role in performing sleep studies and collecting data on patients with sleep disorders.

- Explain test procedures and sleep studies to patients
- Apply electrodes and sensors, calibrate equipment
- Ensure proper fitting of the positive airways pressure mask
- Perform sleep study tests
- Record and prepare studies for interpretation
- Study disorders of patients with disruptive sleep patterns
- Set up, maintain, and monitor mechanical breathing apparatus-respirators
- Follow all safety rules applying to gas cylinders, ventilators, and all electrical equipment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an approved polysomnographic training program
- Experience working in a healthcare clinical environment preferred
- Current BLS or CPR required
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds during a scheduled work shift
- Must be able to see with corrective eye wear
- Must be able to hear clearly with assistance
- May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases
