Position Description

Harding Academy is an independent, co-educational school offering Pre-K through Grade 8 education in Nashville, TN.  The mission of our school is to educate and inspire young people to become thoughtful, creative, lifelong learners and self-disciplined, responsible, caring citizens. Members of the faculty are an important part of this effort. Harding Academy is seeking a permanent full-time Physical Education Teacher. This is a full-time position offering benefits. The primary teaching responsibilities of the Physical Education Teacher include delivery of the Harding Academy physical education curriculum, as well as coaching two seasons of middle school interscholastic sports.

Qualifications/Experience

Required:  Bachelor's degree in subject area

Preferred:  Master’s and minimum three years’ experience in an instructional role

                   Current teacher certification in the State of Tennessee

                   Extracurricular participation or coaching experience
