Summary
We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team at Harding Energy, Inc. In this role, you will play a vital part in the development and testing of our advanced battery systems. Your technical expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering innovative energy solutions.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for constructing prototypes and conducting electrical and mechanical testing on cells and packs as directed by the New Product/Technology Manager
- Understand the functions of Harding Energy testing equipment and procedures
- Ensure battery testing equipment is functioning properly and is calibrated
- Conduct tests on batteries, battery chargers, and other electrical products and write complete reports including test objectives, procedures, results, and conclusions
- Provide charts or graphs to demonstrate test results using specific hardware
- Review product descriptions for prototypes samples and assist in building them
- Assist manufacturing with LDO, Gas Gauge, and other board assemblies as needed for customer orders or prototypes
- Assist manufacturing with product process problems such as welding, soldering, wire harness preparation, board attachment to finished packs, etc.
- Assemble printed circuit boards for production as needed per customer specs
- Conduct analysis on returned products to determine if a problem exists and document the extent and nature of the problem
- Participate in department meeting when required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or three to five years experience in electrical system or product design
- Excellent math skills for calculations related to engineering tasks.
- Experience with data collection methods and analysis techniques.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
- Hands-on experience with soldering and fabrication techniques.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office Suite

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
