The Shop & Field Mechanic Lead Position
The Shop & Field Mechanic Lead oversees equipment maintenance, repairs, and mechanic teams while ensuring seamless communication with project managers, superintendents, field personnel, and others. This role requires a combination of hands-on technical expertise and leadership skills to be successful.
Responsibilities:
- Leading safety procedures and initiatives for equipment
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining a preventative maintenance program
- Managing field and shop mechanics
- Overseeing purchasing stock parts
- Communicating with project managers and superintendents regarding equipment issues, concerns or needs
- Conducting full-scope equipment repairs
The role is required to visit jobsites a minimum of one day every other week, as well as attend at least one leadership or professional growth seminar per year.
