About the Job
Machine operators are responsible for performing basic pre-use checks on machines, setting up machines for production and checking the output to ensure product meets specification before being passed to the next operation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Checking calibration of measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, or linear scales.
- Servicing or checking fluid levels prior to machine startup.
- Stock and replenish supplies required for machine operation such as oil, test part samples, required tools at point of use.
- Review paperwork to assure conformity of product.
- Properly orient, stage, or position raw material for machining.
- Safely operate machine(s).
- Observe machine operations to ensure products being produced meet quality standards.
- Clean and perform Preventative Maintenance to machinery and equipment as assigned, and maintain a clean work area.
- Notify production coordinator when equipment needs repair.
- Adjust machine settings, and operating parameters to ensure product meets quality standards.
- Measure dimensions of products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications. Document contents and quality standards.
- Account for operation conformity by signing paperwork after completion of operation
- Document scrap produced on appropriate scrap sheets.
- Stack finished items to be moved to next operation in appropriate cart in an organized manner.
- Clear equipment jams.
- Maintain inventories of raw materials, equipment, supplies or products.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Abilities

- Able to bend, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds, and push/pull a loaded pallet.

- Basic Computer Skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
