Title: Inside Sales Representative
Reports To: Inside Sales, Branch, or General Sales Manager
Summary:
Responsible for an assigned territory and customer base with the ultimate goal of increasing new and existing revenue streams. Build a successful sales pipeline and partner with Field Sales as the voice of the customer to identify opportunities to grow and retain business.
Responsibilities:
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls and emails
- Maintain a monthly sales goal and work on quotes and customer requests by suggestive selling
- Enter orders, close sales, and achieve quarterly quotas
- Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and work with field sales representative to develop accounts
- Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
- Team with partners to build pipeline and close deals soliciting new contacts within new and existing accounts (i.e., Engineers, Buyers, and Requisitions)
- Expediting or preventative expediting for your customers when necessary
- Learn and understand customer needs and requirements
- Attend seminars and tradeshows if applicable
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Goal-oriented with the ability to multi-task under pressure
- Strong phone presence
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Solid verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
- BA/BS degree and/or equivalent inside sales and customer service experience
- Experience meeting and exceeding sales quotas/goals
