Millwork CNC operator
Job Responsibilities:
- Produce machined parts by programming, setting up and operating an Onsrud CNC machine.
- Maintain quality and safety standards
- Maintain equipment and supplies
- Job Duties:
- Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials and specifications.
- Work with the Production Manager on inventory by checking stock to determine the amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.
- Run CNC by entering instructions in an efficient manner and best use of material.
- Set-up CNC to operate in an efficient and productive manner
- Load CNC feed by lifting stock into position with lift
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to HD standards.
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains continuity Production Manager / Project Managers by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Qualifications:
- Candidates should have Conceptual skills, good verbal and written communication, Functional and Technical skills, Controls and Instrumentation knowledge, Tooling experience, Attention to detail and good time management skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.82 - $19.85 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
