SKILLS

- Physically fit and possess the ability to lift 50lbs or more

QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 year of relevant experience required
- The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Be willing and able to travel, if needed
- Strong organizational skills
- A HS diploma/certification will be a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting the Journeyman Plumber with plumbing installations and repairs
- Prepare the work area by setting up and collecting materials (pipe type and size), tools, and equipment for installations
- Recognize and locate pipe leaks
- Cutting open walls and structures to expose pipes
- Adjusting water pressure valves
- Measuring, cutting, bend, and threading pipes
- Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment
- Assemble and install valves and fittings
- Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning drains and replacing filters
- Help with the installation of fixtures like sinks, faucets, and toilets
- Assist in troubleshooting and identifying plumbing issues
- Perform other duties as assigned by the lead plumber or supervisor
