What You'll Be Doing
Job Scope: The Process Engineer - PSM is generally responsible for performing all aspects for complete designs of process engineering assignments. This work will be performed under general supervision.
Primary Responsibilities Will Include But Not Be Limited To
Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university is required.
Registration: Professional Engineering registration or CPIP certification is highly preferred.
Experience: requires 3 years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering.

What You'll Be Doing
Job Scope: The Process Engineer - PSM is generally responsible for performing all aspects for complete designs of process engineering assignments. This work will be performed under general supervision.
Primary Responsibilities Will Include But Not Be Limited To
- Develop project scope from PHA recommendations to phases of front end engineering through technical support through start up
- Generates project overview presentations for senior management, detailed design engineering, including P&ID markups, equipment process data sheets, process piping design, and ancillary equipment.
- Prepares detailed front-end designs.
- Assists in developing conceptual protection strategies, protection layer requirement specifications, PFD's, and detailed scopes of work.
- Champion projects from idea phase through commissioning and start-up.
- Work well with Technical team consisting of multi-disciplines of engineers and piping and instrumentation designers
- Responsible for performing equipment design calculations and providing equipment specifications for new equipment procurement and installations.
- Provides technical support for Process Safety requirements as needed including participating in PHA studies, resolving PSM open action items, executing Management of Change (MOC) requests.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Promotes the culture of working safely and applying safety related concepts into process design.
- Basic knowledge of chemical/biochemical process engineering and chemical/biochemical process computer programs.
- Familiarity with specifications and installation details of equipment, instrumentation, and piping.
- Ability to create accurate process engineering documents from the information provided in vendor equipment data and drawings.
- Complete understanding of the skills and experience required to perform process engineering and design functions.
- Working knowledge of CAD software preferred, either AutoCAD or Microstation (or both).
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Working knowledge in the use of hydraulic simulation software such as AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow, PIPEPHASE, PIPE-FLO, and/or SiNet.
- Working knowledge in the use of process simulation software such as Aspen Plus, Aspen Plus Dynamics, PRO/II, DYNSIM, HYSYS, CHEMCAD, WinGEMS, ProMax, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
