What are the responsibilities and job description for the USCG MCP Project Manager position at Harkcon Inc?
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading a team in implementing a no-code/low-code software as a service (SaaS) using Agile methodology to meet Minimum Viable Capability Release (MVCR) requirements.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of IT Project Management experience to include experience leading Agile teams; IT projects focused on modernization of an application; and experience assisting a Program Manager in working with the Government COR(s), Product Owners, Government technical personnel and/or customer agency representatives.
Essential Duties:
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with the Government to plan and execute follow-on capability releases, ensuring a complete transition of all credentialing activities from the legacy Merchant Mariner Licensing and Documentation (MMLD) system to NAVITA™.
- Managing the project timeline, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the successful deployment and adoption of the new system.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
- Project Management experience and certification (PMP)
- Understanding of IT/application development
