Job Title: Coordinator for School Improvement
Reports to: Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction
Salary Scale: AP6

Primary Purpose
Support and enhance campus-level instructional effectiveness by providing direct assistance to principals and teachers in curriculum implementation, instructional strategies, and school improvement initiatives. Serve as a liaison between district curriculum goals and classroom practice through on-site coaching, monitoring, and support.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
Master's degree in education, curriculum and instruction, or educational leadership required
Valid teaching certificate required
Valid Administrative Certificate/Principal Certification required
Special Knowledge/Skills
Deep understanding of effective instructional practices and curriculum implementation
Knowledge of current educational research and best practices
Knowledge and experience with Effective Schools Framework (ESF)
Experience with differentiated instruction and intervention strategies
Strong coaching and mentoring abilities
Expertise in data analysis and using data to drive instructional improvements
Excellence in building relationships and facilitating professional growth
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and facilitate professional development
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Experience
Minimum of 5 years successful classroom teaching experience
Minimum 5 Years Of Successful Administrative Experience
Experience in instructional coaching or teacher leadership role preferred
Demonstrated success in improving student achievement
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Campus Support and Coaching
Provide regular on-site support to principals and teachers through classroom observations, feedback sessions, and instructional coaching
Guide campus leaders and teachers in analyzing student performance data and developing action plans for improvement
Model effective instructional strategies and support teachers in implementing research-based practices
Assist principals in monitoring curriculum implementation and instructional effectiveness
Support the development and implementation of campus improvement plans
Curriculum and Instruction
Work closely with the curriculum department to ensure effective campus-level implementation of district curriculum
Support teachers in understanding and utilizing curriculum documents and resources
Facilitate professional learning communities and collaborative planning sessions
Identify and address curriculum implementation challenges at the campus level
Provide feedback to district curriculum team on implementation successes and needs
Professional Development
Design and deliver targeted professional development based on campus needs
Create support materials and resources for teachers and administrators
Facilitate teacher collaboration and sharing of best practices
Provide ongoing follow-up support to ensure professional development implementation
Communication and Collaboration
Maintain regular communication with campus and district leadership regarding school improvement efforts
Build strong working relationships with principals, teachers, and other instructional staff
Collaborate with other coordinators and specialists to ensure aligned support across campuses
Document support provided and progress made at each campus
Program Monitoring and Evaluation
Track implementation of school improvement initiatives
Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of support provided
Make recommendations for adjustments to support strategies based on data
Maintain records of campus visits, support provided, and outcomes
Prepare and present regular reports on school improvement initiatives to district leadership and the community
Working Conditions
Regular travel between district campuses
Extended hours may be required to accommodate campus schedules and needs
Mental demands include maintaining emotional control under stress and managing multiple priorities
Physical demands align with typical office and school environment requirements
