Harloff Manufacturing Company is seeking a Quality Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for the Quality programs which ensure quality parts are being shipped to satisfied customers in the most safe and efficient ways possible. At our rapidly growing company, we embrace continuous improvement and are seeking an individual who will never be satisfied. From PO review, bill of materials and specification checks, to conducting first article inspections, communicating with customers and vendors alike, this is a fast-paced critical role within our company.
Responsibilities:
Conduct time studies, SMED events, weight studies, and process audits
Part print (GD&T) and measurement device (calipers, micrometers, tape measure, etc.)
Manage Quality Technicians to ensure daily production goals are met
Create and maintain items for material resource planning (MRP) system
Support the daily operations through dimensional quality audits with immediate feedback to operations
Prepare and submit first article inspection (PPAP/FAI) reports both internally and externally
Coordinate with operations leadership to develop scrap metrics and reporting system
Document all technical procedures and operator work instructions
Maintain QMS
Maintain ISO 9001 Standards
Convert Prints and Drawings into production programs for equipment
Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems
Conduct employee training on applicable safety standards
Develop, implement, and manage health and safety policies and procedures in the workplace
Review current safety training and recommend revisions, improvements, and updates
Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations
Conduct safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations
Ensure prompt and accurate reporting and documentation of any safety incidents
Analyze incident reports, metrics and injury case studies in order to institute changes that lead to a safer environment
OSHA compliance
Qualifications:
Previous experience in metal product manufacturing environment
Expertise with tooling & part blueprints
Expertise with measurement tools (tape measure, scale, calipers, micrometer, etc.)
Expertise with Microsoft Excel
Ability to access detailed drawings with CAD or 3D modeling software
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and program administration
Honest, Committed, Self-directed, Detail-oriented
Willingness to get your hands dirty.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
Travel:
Job Sites: Our parts are used all across the country, Occasional travel to these sites during installation may be necessary.
Compensation- Paid weekly. Pay rate is negotiable based on experience.
