Currently we are recruiting for a 3rd Shift Quality Technician for our Nova Stevensville facility. This position will provide the successful candidates with the chance to apply skills and work as a team within a clean and safe environment.
POSITION SUMMARY
The quality technician’s primary responsibility is to ensure that parts being produced meet customer requirements while adhering to company policies and procedures. However, there may be times when the quality technician will be required to perform other duties as requested through management or his/her supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· Complete product and process checks to validate conforming production processes
· Including sample preparation and destructive testing for plastic weld strength
· Provide first piece samples to production team
· Perform fixture checks
· Including the use of SPC data collection software
· Perform color, gloss and harmony validation of mating components
· Support document control and updates
· Maintain shift to shift communication of quality concerns at shift change
· Manage non-conforming product or material and communicate to team
· Assist in root cause analysis when issues arise
· Demonstrate strong, basic mathematical skills
· Ability to work in team environment with strong communication skills
· Follow all safety and company policies and procedures
· IATF 16949 awareness training
· Responsibilities include all listed above, but are not limited only to those listed above
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Plastic Injection Molding background is helpful.

This position requires that the employee be able to move and transport plastic parts that generally do not exceed 10 pounds, without requiring assistance such as a dolly, forklift, or another team member. This position also includes frequent and prolonged periods of standing/walking, pushing /pulling or moving/lifting supplies. This position experiences frequent/occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, repetitive motion and gripping. Must comply with all safety requirements including use of the personal protection equipment required for this position.

Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
