The primary role will be to work with the Ethics, Integrity and Regulatory Compliance and Sustainability teams assisting on various compliance related projects.
What You Will Do
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of compliance policies and procedures
- Conduct research on labor and employment, regulatory developments and assist in updating compliance materials accordingly
- Participate in the development, administration and delivery of compliance training programs
- Help in preparing reports and presentations for internal management
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence with compliance standards
- Assist with managing Conflict of Interest disclosures for new-hire candidates and existing employees, responding to issues and questions raised by the disclosures;
- Learn and work in online tools used by the Compliance teams;
- Assist with legal and compliance projects as needed
- Strong interest in the field of corporate law and/or compliance
- Intellectually curious, organized, detail-oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-starter, team player, entrepreneurial and ability to take initiative
- Must be currently pursuing a juris doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Coursework in corporate law, labor and employment law or compliance would be helpful
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders
- Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Prior corporate experience is a plus
- Be willing to work in an office in Novi, MI
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
- Must be willing to work 40 hours a week
- Must provide full work availability from May 19, 2025 through August 8, 2025 and be able to work 40 hours per week
