About the Role
HARMAN's diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offer interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. The primary role will be to work with the Ethics, Integrity and Regulatory Compliance and Sustainability teams assisting on various compliance related projects.
What You Will Do
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of compliance policies and procedures
Conduct research on labor and employment, regulatory developments and assist in updating compliance materials accordingly
Participate in the development, administration and delivery of compliance training programs
Help in preparing reports and presentations for internal management
Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence with compliance standards
Assist with managing Conflict of Interest disclosures for new-hire candidates and existing employees, responding to issues and questions raised by the disclosures;
Learn andwork in online tools used by the Compliance teams;
Assist with legal and compliance projects as needed
What You Need
Strong interest in the field of corporate law and/or compliance
Intellectually curious, organized, detail-oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Self-starter, team player, entrepreneurial and ability to take initiative
Must be currently pursuing a juris doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school
Coursework in corporate law, labor and employment law or compliance would be helpful
Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders
Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
What is Nice to Have
Prior corporate experience is a plus
What Makes You Eligible
Be willing to work in an office in Novi, MI
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
Must be willing to work 40 hours a week
Must provide full work availability from May 19, 2025 through August 8, 2025 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Pay Transparency
Freshman: $19.00
Sophomore: $21.00
Junior: $23.00
Senior: $24.00
Master: $28.00
Dependent on the internship offered, pay is based on factors, including without limitation, the applicant's level of education and business need.
