Job Opening - Superintendent
Position Status: Full Time
Supervise & Self- Perform
Regular Work Hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Accountable to: Project Manager & Operations
Accountable for: Subcontractors, Carpenters & Laborers
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Managing, scheduling and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare overall job schedules and 3 week look ahead schedules and be able to meet or exceed those schedules.
- Actively seek new ways to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
- Produce work in the time frames set forth by owners and project managers.
- Use diplomacy and tact when dealing with owners, architects and engineers.
- Solve challenges and onsite issues with help from design team.
- Complete carpentry and self-perform work when needed.
- Follow all local, state and OSHA safety rules and regulations mandated.
- Follow all procedures set forth by HCI handbook.
- Able to communicate with owners and architects.
Skills:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in reading and understanding drawings and specifications
- Proven past experience
- Supervising & leadership skills
- Good computer skills
Qualifications/ Experience:
- 3 years of experience working as a construction superintendent on projects from start to finish
- 3 years working under a general contractor.
- 3 years of experience working in commercial construction
