YOUR DAY
Picture this: you'll be helping customers unload non-ferrous materials and making their day. You'll become a pro at identifying and grading different metals, making sure we maintain our high-quality standards. Plus, you'll have an eye for spotting non-conforming or unacceptable scrap metal.
In between, you'll be part of the buying process and handle small material handling equipment like forklifts and skid steers. Oh, and keeping your work area clean and tidy is a must. If the yard needs a hand, you'll jump right in. We'll also have meetings and training to keep you in the loop and growing. And, of course, you'll tackle other tasks as assigned when needed. .
WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS A SCRAP METAL LABORER:
- Knowledge of metal grades
- Basic math and computer skills
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
- Follows company safety standards and dress codes at all times
