Harmonic are thrilled to be partnering with a dynamic and fast-paced promotional product branding agency, specializing in creating custom-branded solutions for some of the world’s top brands. They are passionate about the intersection of creativity and strategy, delivering high-impact promotional campaigns through unique products that captivate audiences and build lasting brand recognition. With a focus on innovation and client satisfaction, they are expanding our leadership team and seeking a Senior Director of Strategic Finance to guide financial strategy and support the agency’s growth trajectory.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Director of Strategic Finance to lead and shape strategy. In this highly impactful role, you will work closely with the executive team to provide data-driven financial insights, build forecasting models, and lead financial planning initiatives. Your expertise will help drive long-term growth, profitability, and scalability for the agency, ensuring that financial operations align with business goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial strategy and operations, with a deep understanding of the creative and advertising industry.
- Lead all strategic financial planning, analysis, and decision-making across the business. Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team to drive financial performance.
- Develop and manage comprehensive annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
- Identify and drive initiatives to enhance revenue growth and improve profitability. Analyze pricing strategies, product offerings, and cost structures to maximize financial outcomes.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Present financial performance and key metrics to senior leadership, offering actionable insights and recommendations.
- Work cross-functionally with departments such as marketing, operations, and sales to support strategic initiatives with sound financial analysis and guidance.
- Monitor financial risks and ensure that all financial activities comply with regulatory requirements. Implement effective risk management strategies.
- Assess potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and investment opportunities to support business growth. Lead financial due diligence and integration processes.
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- A deep interest in the creative sector and an understanding of how financial strategies impact campaign success.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Excel, FP&A tools). Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial modeling, and forecasting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to both financial and non-financial teams.
- A growth-oriented mindset.
Bonus (not required) Skills:
- Excel certification
- Experience with accounting software and financial systems commonly used in creative agencies (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms).
- Previous experience in the creative industries (e.g., PR, media, marketing, advertising, TV & film, or music).
- Experience in a service-based business or industry where the primary offering is time-based, such as consulting, legal, or professional services.
Salary & Benefits:
- $200,000–$225,000 (commensurate with experience) bonus benefits
- New York City (Hybrid model)
