Senior Director, Strategic Finance | Rapid-Growth Fintech Start-Up | Remote
Harmonic is delighted to be working with a fast-growth Fintech SaaS business, supporting them with their search for a Senior Director of Strategic Finance and FP&A. They have developed a payment processing platform and software platform underpinned by AI which brings significant process improvement to their customers and they are proud to have announced lucrative partnerships with more than 50 Fortune 500 companies
ARR grew 2x last year to $25m ARR and they are forecasting $60m in 2025 and $100m in 2026.
With a significant $50m Series B from a true top tier investor they begin the next phase of growth towards $50m Revenue. This will be driven by the scale-up of their Sales function and continued product development which will drive a steep increase in transaction revenue alongside the existing recurring revenue.

The Role:
Reporting to an experienced CFO, the Strategic Finance & FP&A leader will own the build out of the FP&A and Strategic Finance function. Taking responsibility for the development of financial modelling, strategic planning and insightful analysis the Senior Director of Strategic Finance & FP&A will be key in driving improved understanding and performance.
You will have the opportunity to partner with Sales, Operations, Customer Success and Marketing teams to establish KPI’s and drive improved decision-making.
Additionally, the position offers significant exposure and the opportunity to build relationships with the CEO and CFO making recommendations that will deliver growth.
Responsibilities:
- Own the development of exceptional financial modelling
- Establish Forecasting and Budgeting processes (FP&A)
- Work closely with the CEO as an Executive Business Partner
- Build KPI’s and analytics to make sense of complex data and present this to decision makers across the business
- Work with the CFO to produce mid and long term strategic planning
- Analyze performance identifying areas for growth (product development, margin improvement etc)
- Produce monthly Board Reporting with detailed commentary
- Business Partner with multiple teams in the business to challenge numbers and bring improved performance
- Work closely with the Data Analytics team to create dashboards and improve the accuracy of forecasting periodically
- Support the CFO facing off to VC investors
- Prepare the business for future funding rounds
What We Need:
- Background in Investment banking, experience working in VC/PE firms or Corporate Finance/ M&A advisory experience
- Exceptional financial modelling skills
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of commercial acumen
What We’d Love to See (Non-Essential):
- Experience in a VC backed Tech or Fintech start-up
- Experience establishing FP&A processes in a VC Backed Tech or Fintech start-up
Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 bonus share options
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Remote (with quarterly meet ups in NYC)
