Senior Manager, Strategic Finance and FP&A | Rapid-Growth SaaS Start-up | Post Series B
Harmonic is delighted to be supporting a fast-growth SaaS scale-up with their search for a Senior Manager of Strategic Finance (FP&A). They have developed a platform underpinned by AI and Big Data which allows clients to more effectively understand and utilize marketing and customer engagement data to develop highly engaging marketing campaigns.
With a significant $30m Series B investment from a selection of top tier VC funds they have scaled to $20m Revenue and have won major enterprise clients in the CPG and Financial Services space. They are now embarking on a period of significant growth in the US and internationally (Europe and the UK).

The Role:
Reporting to an excellent VP Finance you will own the FP&A and Strategic Finance function. Taking responsibility for the development of financial modelling, strategic planning and insightful analysis the Strategic Finance leader will be key in driving improved understanding and performance.
You will also support the CFO and VP Finance with Board reporting, investor relations and multiple ad-hoc projects as the business scales.
Additionally this role has significant strategic exposure partnering with Sales, Operations, Customer Success and Marketing teams to establish KPI’s and drive improved decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Own the development of exceptional financial modelling
- Manage the production of world class FP&A
- Own the annual budgeting process
- Build KPI’s and analytics to make sense of complex data and present this to decision makers across the business
- Work closely with the VP Finance and CFO to produce mid and long term strategic planning
- Support and prepare the business for future VC fundraising
- Analyze performance identifying areas for growth (product development, margin improvement etc)
- Support the production of monthly Board Reporting with detailed commentary
- Business Partner with multiple teams in the business to challenge numbers and bring improved performance
- Work particularly closely with the Chief Revenue Officer supporting on pricing decisions and analysis
- Work closely with the Data Analytics team to create dashboards and improve the accuracy of forecasting periodically
What We Need:
- Background in Investment banking, experience working in VC/ PE firms or Corporate Finance/ M&A advisory experience
- Exceptional financial modelling skills
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of commercial acumen
What We’d Love to See (Non-Essential):
- Experience in a VC backed SaaS, Adtech or Fintech start-up
- Experience scaling from $25m to $50m
- Experience establishing FP&A processes in a VC Backed Tech start-up
Please note this role is also open for people making their first move from Investment Banking into an FP&A role.
Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 equity
Location: New York City (Hybrid)
