The Business Office Assistant performs a variety of clerical support duties including: general filing, completing chart audits, compiling new hire packets and new-hire charts, conducting employee background checks and verifying professional certifications and licenses. The Business Office Assistant works directly for the Business Office Manager (BOM) and will be responsible for all duties assigned by the BOM, including filling in at the concierge desk as needed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform supportive office functions for all departments including filing, typing, and making copies.
- Assist the BOM with assigned tasks required to ensure regulatory compliance with resident and associate records.
- Work effectively as part of the business office team to ensure strong customer service to all residents, families, and associates.
- Serve in the role of concierge when the schedule requires.
- Order background checks, compile test results and advise when applicant has successfully completed pre-hire process
- Process new hire paperwork and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Provide all departments with personnel forms and/or packets
- Assist department heads with ordering supplies and inventory (i.e. door plates, incontinence supplies, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Must be considerate, neat, well groomed and professional in appearance. Must dress in a professional manner
- Must be organized, and able to work well with others as part of a team
- Must be polite and considerate to residents, visitors, co-workers and management team
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to function effectively in a busy environment and be able to multi-task
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
- Must attend all required in-services and staff meetings
