Job Summary
The Director is the administrative leader responsible for overseeing the operations of Harmony Heights. This role involves ensuring the safety, protection, and well-being of the residents, as well as the effective management and administration of the facility. The Director may oversee more than one facility and is pivotal in maintaining high standards of care and compliance with state regulations.
Leadership and Team Management:
· Effectively collaborate with clients, families, staff, and community contacts from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
· Exhibit and promote the agency's core values in all interactions and daily activities.
· Maintain high-performance team standards and hold all staff accountable to agency performance standards.
· Orient each employee to their job description, personnel policies, & applicable licensing rules.
· Provide supervision and oversight to staff, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform their duties.
· Ensure staff compliance with continuing education requirements.
· Conduct and document staff meetings at least nine times a year.
Program Development and Oversight:
· Supervise the planning and implementation of the facility's developmentally based curriculum that meets the emotional, physical, cognitive, and social needs of the youth.
· Continuously monitor, evaluate, and improve services to ensure they are person-centered, supportive, and recovery-oriented.
· Implement and oversee the execution of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Operational Management:
· Administer and manage the facility, ensuring the safety and protection of residents.
· Ensure thorough documentation and compliance with service plans and agency standards.
· Coordinate seamlessly with other staff and external providers to optimize service delivery.
· Maintain oversight of housing quality, safety, cleanliness, and supply management.
· Support the onboarding and continuous training of new staff, including developing weekly staffing schedules and assigning responsibilities.
Compliance and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
· Conduct annual evaluations for direct care staff and complete required reports in a timely manner with professional standards.
· Perform all job assignments in strict compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, adhering to agency policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
Educational Background:
· A Bachelor's degree in social work, psychiatric nursing, psychology, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
· Relevant work experience may substitute for some educational requirements.
Experience:
· A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a residential facility is preferred.
· Must complete background checks as required by state regulations.
· Possession of a valid driver's license and an insured vehicle is mandatory.
Preferred Skills
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Exceptional planning, organizational, and stress management skills.
· Proficient in childhood development, rehabilitation, and behavioral health.
· Strong problem-solving abilities.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
· Licensure/Certification is not required but beneficial.
Physical Requirements
· Competency in reading, writing, and communicating fluently in English.
· Ability to engage in visual tasks such as reading labels, documents, and computer screens.
· Capable of standing, moving, walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching as necessary.
· Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
