Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Awake Overnight Staff to join our team at a Female One Person Group Home. You would work AWAKE 8pm to 8 am Friday, Saturday and Sunday EVERY weekend.
This role is essential in providing a safe and supportive environment for our resident during the night hours. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring resident, assisting with her needs, and ensuring their well-being throughout the night. She ELOPES. Hence the reason for the staff. She must have a female staff in her home at night. You must live within 15 minutes of her house. 55125 (Woodbury).
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care and supervision to resident during overnight hours.
- Ensure the safety and security of the home by conducting regular checks on resident.
- Engage with resident through conversation and activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Document any incidents or changes in resident behavior accurately in logs or reports.
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
- Pass Medications.
- Know CPR/First Aid.
- Have a reliable vehicle, driver's license and insurance.
- YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN 20 MINUTES OF 55125
Experience
- Previous experience in group homes, or similar caregiving environments is required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (spectrum disorders) is a plus.
- A compassionate approach to caregiving and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents are essential qualities for candidates.
- CPR, FIRST AID and CURRENT MEDS Certification is preferred.
- Experience with clients who elope is idea. If you keep her stimulated and engaged that is MUCH less likely.
