Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency in food quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to prevent contamination.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other culinary tools.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Providing excellent food service to residents.

Skills

• Proficient in food preparation techniques and practices.
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations.
• Experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, contributing positively to the kitchen atmosphere.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
