What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Coordinator-Testing and Federal Programs/ESL position at Harmony Public Schools?
LOCATION: Harmony School of Innovation-Odessa
JOB GOAL: Coordination and integration of federal, state, and local services and programs including CIP development, test administration, parent involvement, and services to at-risk students.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
o Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (Preferred)
o Valid Texas Educator Certification (Preferred)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Understands and supports the mission, vision and values of Harmony Public Schools.
o Takes responsibility for the organization, implementation, verification, collection, and distribution of materials for all local and state assessments.
o Attends all required trainings regarding assessments, state and federal programs
o Serves as liaison between campus and the district office for proper implementation of assessment guidelines and criteria
o Works with campus personnel, Special Education, LPAC, Section 504, and RTI committees on testing program requirements
o Takes responsibility for the integrity and security of all assessments.
o Provides training to staff
o Orders tests and other materials
o Builds schedules, arrange rooms, make photocopies, scan (if necessary)
o Assists in the correction of coding errors as needed.
o Assists with investigating and preparing reports for test irregularities if needed.
o Develops and implements procedures to monitor at-risk students.
o Works with students, parents, and staff to ensure students’ academic success.
o Contributes to the development of program goals to reduce school failure and dropout rates.
o Evaluates the state and federal programs at the campus and implements changes based on the findings.
o Compiles budget and cost estimates based on documented program needs.
o Compiles, maintains, and files all reports, records, and other documents required.
o Complies with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and the local board policy.
o Collects and submits Time and Effort Sheet (TES) for grant funded employees
o Informs grant funded employees about their funding source and trains them on how to complete TES
o Coordinates state and federal programs related activities at the campus including, but not limited to, Comprehensive Needs Assessment, Campus Improvement Plan, Parental Involvement activities, etc.
o Conducts surveys related to state and federal programs
o Compiles detailed CIP budget and submits it to the district
o Informs district office in the event a grant funded employee resigns, moves into another position or changes schedule for more than 10%
o Reports regularly to campus admin team, district office and central office on the progress of the state and federal programs
o Meets regularly with stakeholders and keeps meeting minutes
o Leads and participates in parent events
o Uploads documents to designated web site and maintains hard copies
o Performs other duties as assigned.

o Ability to use effective interview techniques, effective public speaking skills, and problem-solving skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.
o Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
o Position is in classroom setting and requires intermittent speaking, standing, walking and writing.
o Moderate travel is required.
