Company Overview : Working with a startup client who provides biological research services to leading biotech and pharma companies.
Position Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Product and Data Science to lead data analytics initiatives. This role will focus on establishing a robust data analytics capability, leveraging vast amounts of cell process data generated from bioreactor systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in turning data into actionable insights and revenue-generating opportunities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the development of data analytics capabilities, focusing on leveraging bioreactor data to provide insights for new clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and assess the current data landscape and its potential for generating value.
- Drive the analysis of historical customer data to identify trends and insights that can enhance client experiences and outcomes.
- Utilize cloud-based tools, primarily AWS and Google’s ML systems (Gemini and VertexAI), to implement advanced data analytics and machine learning solutions.
- Manage a small team of software engineers (2 SWE’s) across locations (San Francisco and Costa Rica), fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Ensure the infrastructure is optimized for data storage and processing, utilizing tools like Looker and BigQuery.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating complex data findings into actionable strategies and business opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and biotech.
