OverviewHarperCollins Publishers is seeking a Junior Analyst for Business Process Reengineering to be part of the Strategy and Operations team, a corporate team that supports HarperCollins businesses worldwideThis is the perfect opportunity for someone who is organized, ambitious, analytical, and is interested in learning about the publishing industry on a strategic and global scale!The job : The Junior Analyst will have three main areas of activities – all focused on co-ordinating and assisting with strategic initiatives that range across a broad set of areas : Business Process ReengineeringInnovation / AIStrategy / Ad hoc projectsResponsibilitiesBusiness Process Reengineering : Conduct employee interviews and provide analysis of business processes and identification of innovative ways to use technology and / or process change to address business needs and improvement opportunities.Help draft IT project requests and business requirements so that IT can articulate BRD and technical / system solutionsTrack performance against identified opportunities and KPIs (both efficiencies and growth ) in conjunction with financeRedesigned business processes, organizations and suggested systemsDelivery of IT project requests and business requirementsDelivery of cost saving / process improvement / system improvementRegular reporting on transformation progressInnovation / AIProvide research for annual reviews of innovation trends and resulting core strategic imperatives programs, with a particular focus on AI and other emerging technologies and automationsParticipate in meetings with the business about innovationSupport the SVP of Digital Business Development in implementing change programs.Strategy / Ad Hoc ProjectsProvide analytical support to various strategic initiatives as identified by global CEO, CDO or individual business units.Ad hoc analysis and support of various strategic initiatives.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.Internship or college coursework in business process reengineering or process improvement roles.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop practical solutions.Proficiency in process mapping and modeling tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work effectively with all levels of managementExtremely organized and pays strong attention to detailProficiency in advanced Excel, including model building, pivot tables and a working knowledge / or understanding of business intelligence platformsProficiency in MS PowerPointSkill in translating analytics and statistics to marketing-style presentations and documentsInterest in publishing a plusHarperCollins Publishers is a company full of people who are passionate about books.
